  1. How difficult is the ride?
    The route is about 14 miles and mostly flat. There are two short hills. The cue sheet highlights places where riders can either cut off some areas or extend the ride.
  2. Can young children ride?
    Yes, but they must be experienced enough to follow traffic rules when sharing the streets with cars.
  3. Other than following the conventional traffic rules, are there any special safety issues?
    Several crossings require extreme caution. They are noted on the cue sheet.
  4. What rider support is available?
    Help will be available at the Y in case you have last minute bike problems. Our ride leaders will have cell phones. We will also have SAG vans roaming the route.
  5. Where are the bathrooms?
    Besides the YMCA, each rest stop has bathroom facilities as well as plenty of room to park your bike.

  7. Why do I have to wear a bike helmet?
    The PA law requires helmets for all riders under the age of 12. Our insurance requires all riders wear helmets.

  9. What are the provisions for groups to participate?
    The Tour de Bill is a fun experience for church groups, bike clubs, - any group. We will make special arrangements for a leader and time. Contact the Y for details
